Fahrenheit 451

entry of your choice. I think the novel, Fahrenheit 451, is one of the very good novels that I have ever read before. It makes me to think many things deeply. I had been using my imagination to thinking deeply about how would it be if the world is like that in the novel, which books are against the rule to read and keep it. The governments are afraid of losing power of control the society, and they are fooling citizen, so they will not lose the control of ruling the society. If our governments were like that, then the world might had changed to selfishness world, everyone only thinking of them selves. For example, I think it would be pretty much similar to Kim Jeong Ill, president of North Korea, because Kim Jeong Ill is the head communist party in North Korea and he does not want to lose control of North Korea, and he is making nuclear weapons so that no one can easily do things to him. Also, I had though that it will be scary if the firemen are burning books and houses like the firemen in the novel, but not extinguish the fire like our world's firemen. In the novel, the firemen are for burning books and house, but I had a question during reading this book, what happens if the house gets on fire by accident. Not because of caught by firemen that there was a book in the house, only just because of accident like usual. Will there be a new system that put out the fire in the novel?

Just like Chenhsiao, I also felt like I got to think deeply about the world I am living in right now while reading this book. Before reading, I only complained and never thought deeply about what I can do to change the world. Also, I was so upsessed with the technology; I watched TV, do Internet, and textmassaged all the time. I got to think back about my negative attitudes and learned that I should change first if I want the world and the others to change. Also, I have never thought of the North Korean government when I was reading the book, however when he mentioned it, I realized they really connect to each other! Good job Chenhsiao! You've made some good points that I couldn't even think of. :)

I really liked this book, too, because the society envisioned by Ray Bradbury resembles me quite a lot. After reading this book, I realized I have been very much obsessed with a large mass entertainment like TV and everything. I didn't find books valuable, nor I didn't get the importance of reading books. But this book taught me that; that books give us knowledge about the world. The novel Fahrenheit 451 seems somehow boring in the beginning, but if you read it through to the end, I bet you will find this one of the greatest books ever!

Yes, I agree with you on the thing that it is very interesting. At first, I hated this book because it was boring. But as I started reading more, it was getting very good. I deeply thought about our world and how everything affects our world. We use technology everyday. I don't think I can live without TV and computer. You have made very good points on the novel.
